I recently managed to get my hands on a copy of the QUIZ JAPAN magazine where Abe-chan was on the cover. I haven't seen any translations floating around yet, so I've translated his special interview! It's a lengthy / fairly dense interview, as QUIZ JAPAN is a relatively niche magazine aimed at quiz players / fans of quiz shows. Where helpful, I've put in translator's notes explaining the various quiz shows / quiz-related terms used by Abe-chan and his interviewer.
The interview with Abe-chan covers many topics including his love for studying and quizzes, the work he's put in to be regularly featured on quiz shows, and the Johnnys Quiz Club. I found the interview really inspiring and developed even more respect for Abe-chan as I was reading through the interview!
